– October 16th Update –
Dear Members,
our 2021 Annual General Meeting in Tangiers, Morocco on November 24-27 is coming closer and we are looking forward to bring an exciting group of members & guests LIVE together again.
Exciting Speaker LineUp
Learn about Morocco’s infrastructure and Economy, as one of the up and coming markets in Africa, home of the continents largest port. Our friends from Drewry will share the latest on the global Ocean Freight market and the benchmarking club and our network ambassador Alfred Cheung will update on what is going on in the perishable trade. I will host a workshop on innovation and several innovative technology companies, like Bravotran, CargoX, Comtainer, Okargo, RPA Labs, Freightify and Searoutes, will share the latest industry trends.
One2One & Best Practice Sessions
Apart from extended One2One slots for LIVE attendees, we are planning some „Best Practice Sessions“ to exchange views on the current market environment, the challenges for 2022 and ways to react on changed market dynamics.
Venue & COVID situation
While most of our Asian members can not travel yet, as they are facing quarantine on their return, the situation in Europe and in particular also in Morocco has seen significant improvements. Morocco is open for travel (Morocco Tourism Website), boasts a high vaccination rate and low infection numbers, our venue has a great concept to ensure everyones safety (Hilton’s CleanStay Concept) and completed vaccination is a prerequisite for all conference attendees.
Travel advice
Our venue in Tangiers is well connected from a host of European Airports, ranging from London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Lyon, Marseilles, Bordeaux, Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon to Bergamo and served by Air Arabia, Ryanair, Royal Air Maroc, TAP, Vueling plus several others. And for those traveling into Casablanca, please get in touch with Haze (haze@oceanx.network) as we are organising transfers for several members to/from CMN already and would be glad to give you a lift.
Virtual Attendance
The event will be LIVE & VIRTUAL again, with the virtual part taking place on Monday and Tuesday 29th/30th of November, following the LIVE event. It certainly lacks the passion of real face2face interactions and seeing friends and business partners again, but it will keep those in the loop that can not travel currently.
In order to ease our planning for the LIVE part, please complete registration soonest!
Thanks and kind regards
Ruben

Dear members,
our times remain exceptional and also one year later in the summer we are at a point where likely not all members will be able to make to our conference, as the pandemic and travel restrictions are likely to persist for several parts of the world.
However, we all have gotten used to uncertainties by now and crave personal interactions, therefore we will nevertheless go ahead with our Annual General Meeting, inviting you to exciting Tangiers this year, home of the largest port in Africa!
In order to accommodate members that will not be able to travel, the event will be LIVE & ViRTUAL again.
However, we are looking forward to bringing a large crowd together LIVE in Morocco!
See you soon,
kind regards
Ruben
