Welcome to Pestana Palcicio do Freixo, Pousada & National Monument, a member of Leading Hotels of the World. It is a pleasure for us to receive you in one of the most sumptuous examples of Portuguese Barque of the XVIII century.
Built in 1742, by the architect Nicolau Nasoni, the Palace has a rectangular plan with four turrets and different facades, with privileged access to the Douro River through the emblematic gardens that honor the Italian style.
